A global neuropsychological assessment in anorexia nervosa

Precipitating cultural and psychosocial factors are by definition universal, yet fortunately only very few go on to develop an eating disorder. This suggests that underlying factors, including subtle neurobiological abnormalities, may predispose some to be at increased risk. Neuropsychological assessment could help us to identify and understand this risk factor, but there is a problem with the research to date, which uses different tests with different norms to measure different things. It would therefore be helpful if a standard set of tests could be developed to help researchers and clinicians collaborate. This is the Ravello Profile.
